Russia blaming its neighbours

This is screenshot of the Georgia related Reuters AlertNet page.

While Russian  military forces  taking  Tskhinvali under control, Russian  bombs are falling in vicinity of the Georgian capital Tbilisi… Russians are blaming their not pro-Putin neighbours. This time Ukrane - another  ex-Soviet country that’s not treating Russia as the only superpower in the ex-Soviet territory and try to make friends with the U.S. and NATO - long time ‘potential enemy’ of the Russia - was attacked by the Russian Orwellian mass media.

Georgian news agencies have reported that the Russia has moved 150 (one hundred and fifty) tanks and other armed vehicles into the Georgian city of Ckhinvali - the capital of the South Osetia region. Russian news websites and governmentally controlled TV stations are reporting that fact also, but they say it is the support for the peacemaker forces that are already in the region. But Russians also adding that they will not tolerate the Georgian agression aganest want-to-be-the-part-of-russia region.

They are concerned - we are in danger

without comments

The death of a pedestrian in Cranbrook, B.C., on Tuesday has raised the question of how loud is too loud when it comes to listening to iPods and other personal music players.

Isaiah Otieno, a 23-year-old student, was killed when he was struck and dragged by a helicopter that crashed to the ground as he was walking to the mailbox.

Concern over safe use of headphones is growing. Last year, Carl Kruger, a Democratic state senator from New York proposed a bill to ban the use of iPods and other electronic devices while crossing the street.

Via. This story has reminded me the old joke.

Two bricks have jumped out of the high roof onto the lonely builder who is passing by the footway. Half way down the younger brick cried: “Stop! Back! He is wearing a hard hat!”

“Huh! Look and learn!”, - replied the older one and yelled to the man in a hard hat: “Hey
dude!”

The builder looked upwards: “Whatzup!?”

Liberals Know Better

without comments

“Soda is bad for you – everything that has caffeine is bad for you,” said Lindsey Jones, a freshman liberal studies major. Via

They know better what’s good and what’s bad for you. Coffee, soda, marjuana, guns, sexual education and choice, human rights and freedom of speech - that’s bad for you. What’s good for you? Huh, all the liberal values: tolerance to intolerate, terrorism, taxes, social responsibility and brainwashing.

Stay asleep.

Here. Nothing particularly new but it’s worth watching. Ban it from TV is violation of the Freedom of speech because there is nothing wrong in this movie except for some very awkward (for liberals and muslims) facts.

Barack Obama is undoubtedly a lesser evil

“I am deeply disturbed by reports of a crackdown and arrests ordered by Chinese authorities in the wake of peaceful protests by Tibetan Buddhist monks. I condemn the use of violence to put down peaceful protests, and call on the Chinese Government to respect the basic human rights of the people of Tibet, and to account for the whereabouts of detained Buddhist monks”
